Our Trip to the Zoo by Prisha

We went into the forest with Laura. We were silent and we listened really carefully and we could hear the birds tweeting. There were lots of birds and they made a lot of noise. They were tricky to spot and I spotted about four different types of birds. I saw the Tui and it was hiding carefully in the bushes. It was scratching itself. Laura showed us a pretend Tui and I learnt that they can copy lots of different noises.

At the Zoo I saw giraffes eating leaves and some grass. I saw a Daddy and a baby and a Mum. I liked the giraffes.

I went to the Zoo. I saw an elephant. It has a long trunk. It was walking around the Zoo.
